I'm back on the wedding trail again. Just got off the phone with Andrea. She and Evelyn (mom-in-law-to-be) measured Lauren for her flower girl dress. All I can say is you could create a new Lauren with all the measurements! We have height, chest, waist, shoulder to waist, waist to "bottom" of the knee and waist to floor. All I need is her shoe size and I might be able to clone her. But I'm sure I'll get an email from my Mom asking for just one more measurement...

But have you ever looked at flower girl dresses? They are absolutely adorable. I think I might be a flower girl instead of the bride. They get to wear dresses with cool colours and bows and things. And with the little tiaras I hope to get (shhh, its a secret) they'll look so brilliant. Of course, that's until they smear chocolate cake and strawberries all over themselves and run around tormenting all of the little boys (and probably the big ones as well.. they do start young these days!). Just don't let them near anyone with red wine!

I must apologise... I've neglected the blog for much to long. I'm sure you all feel a bit out of the loop. But not to worry, not much has happened. We did accept an offer on our house (yipee) only to realise that there isn't one house on the market that appeals to us (boo). It seems like all the attractive houses have just vanished. I'm not worrying yet - we have at least 6 weeks before the sale goes through and we're kick out on our bums. Talk to me in April. Panic will have set in by then.

All pretty quiet on the wedding front. After the initial scamble of "save the dates" and wedding dresses we're reached the lull before the storm. Giles bought a Paul Smith suit for the wedding (very chic). We're now trying to figure out what the other men are going to wear. I suggested white Dinner Jackets with 10 gallon hats (or maybe Elvis for a bit of class?), but was ignored. Would cramp his style. Instead we're thinking of either plain navy or tan. Not the most exciting of discussions really.

Mom's taken over sorting out the rest of the entourage. She asked for Lauren's "American" size. Unfortunately, England doesn't work in American sizes. I've also had to break the news that short pants and high socks would not be "cute" for Giles' nephew Jack. Torturing the nephew to be is never a good way to start your first day in a family. I'm sure you all can't wait to see what the little kiddies will end up wearing! In fact, that's a good reason to attend the wedding!
